Kim Kardashian flour bomb: Most "weird thing that ever happened to me"
E! Online reports Kim Kardashian was "flour-bombed" by an unknown assailant on the red carpet of her fragrance launch Thursday evening.
The incident took place while the tiny divorcee, her mother and pregnant sister Kourtney were parading for cameras at the London Hotel in West Hollywood for the launch of KK's her new fragrance line, True Reflection.
According to TMZ, the assailant attacked Kardashian from behind, shouting "Fur Hag" while splashing the reality star with a white substance which was later determined to be flour.
Kardashian told E! the flour-bombing was "probably the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me."
Trying to make light of the situation, she added: "Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there."
Not ones to waste a solid publicity opportunity, the Kardashian family quickly took to Twitter to tell their followers about the event.
"I wish I was with my sister tonight. I bet you that woman wouldn't have dared tried a thing..." the absent Khloè Kardashian-Odom tweeted.
Kourtney Kardashian chimed in as well, reframing the fragrance launch as a charity while bemoaning the act's lack of elegance: "Classy to flour bomb my sister at her charity event helping women," she tweeted, perhaps preferring such things happen during filming of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. "I wonder if they would have dared thrown the flour at my hormonal and pregnant self!"
And, not wanting to be forgotten, Kris Jenner told E!, "If anybody comes at me with something, call security."
We imagine this was followed by the sound of crickets.
The Associated Press reports that a non-criminal battery report was taken by police but the eldest Kardashian chose not to press charges.
People reports that Los Angeles Police Deputy Peter Gomez confirmed the alleged assaulter was detained by hotel security before being released at the scene.
